Hello,
I'm from Rhode Island, and I came upon this forum while searching for some info to help me with a jade plant (see the current 'jade plant questions' thread in houseplants). I'm a selective gardener, I used to live in the country, with a large garden where I initially grew mostly vegetables with some flowers for decoration, and by the end mostly flowers with some tomatoes and greens for salads.
Now I'm in the city. I don't have many plants. I have two rosemary plants that are five years old and getting large that I bring in every winter, this jade plant, a clivia which I am extremely fond of, and a bunch of orchids. I used to have many orchids that did very well, but I went traveling for a year and in the care of friends most of them died. So I have a few that are left, and a few more that I bought, but my house doesn't have the light for them, so tney are in a holding pattern until I go somewhere else.
So I don't know that I'll have much to contribute, except in select areas, but it's nice to find you all.

Best,
David

Welcome, David.

Don't worry, when I came here too I didn't have much to contribute either... you'll learn a lot here and practically any question you'll have, will be answered. Besides, it seems everyone here can always give a little extra something to a particular section, example, before you know it, someone will post a question about a Jade plant and there you'll be with an answer to the same question you've already found.

Again, welcome aboard, we're happy to have you here and we'll see you around!

Regards,
Shan
