My name is Marcin and I live in Ottawa, Canada. I am a house plant enthusiast as well as a fresh water fish breeder, only angels, and only as a hobby. I'm a chemist by school and a carpenter by weekend teachings. I love nature and sport, especially running long distances.
I am contacting your knowledge base because of my 10' False Aralia, which isn't doing so well. It is located in my office, against a western facing window. Lots of light. It is next to two Norfolks, which are just thriving at 8'.
The problem with the Aralia pertains to its inability to produce more foilage. Essentially, any leaves that try to grow, cannot, because of this persitent clear coating "sap" that totally seizes them.
What to do? the leaves on it are the same ones that it had when I brought it to my office last year. I don't see any bugs on the plant and have not tried anything other than spraying the stubbed ends with water.
Thanks everyone. Marcin
