Hi, we only lived in LA a short time (thankfully we were not in Katrinas path), got a house and I want to see nothing but flowers around my house when I come home. I love gardening, I just hope it loves me back (ha,ha). This seems to be a really good group to be a part of.

I am going to miss the snow, thats for sure -- first time I made a snowman was in Virginia. Oh the thought of some slightly cooler weather sure does sound good.
Im new too! Im also waiting for the cool weather. Has anyone seen it?? I love where I live, here in the northeast, because of the seasons. Im dying for winter in the summer, and vice versa! Fall and Spring are the best.

Hi Karen -- wow you are really going to have a cool winter. What type of plants, etc are you planting? Well being from Texas (Hou/Galv) area -- we really didnt have 4 seasons. You had summer and winter, lol. I did see Fall in Virginia and it was beautiful all the colors changing on the trees etc. The best memory I have is the first morning I actually saw "real snow", I opened up the curtains and saw nothing but white all over everything. Then my husband and I were like little kids having snowball fights, etc. I even made snow icecream, mmmmmmm. But with everyone here in the South -- we missed home dearly and that made holidays, birthdays, etc. lonely for a military wife (boo, hoo, hoo). So here we are in Louisiana - close to family, with a house -- that I plan on having flowers and more flowers. I even had a garden with actual vegetables. Which I was very proud of, if I must say.
