Hi everybody. I'm new and this looks like a great site. I am wondering how long you can keep an open can of tomato juice in the fridge?

I'm not sure, but I never leave it more than a day.

Welcome!

If its in a can I wouldn't leave it very long at all, If I was to open a can of tomato juice, I would remove it from the can, out of the can it should keep for a week in the refrigerator.

It is never a good idea to store can products in the can. I agree with comfry on taking them out of the can and into a clean container for storage. I also use a lot of ziplock bags for storing stuff in the fridge. (that way I don't have a container to wash!)

So interesting, Vanessa.
This is a source of contention between Don and me.
He usually puts leftovers in baggies, while I prefer re-usable containers because of the landfills. What bothers me, is that he is an environmental engineer!!! And he is adding all that plastic to the landfills! I just don't get it!?! One would think he would be a bit more conscientious!

Besides, it's so much easier for me to remove things from a container than a baggy.

I've keep tomato juice in a plastic container for several weeks without a problem. But not the can I don't even buy it in cans it always has that metal tang to it. Ugh lol.

I know what you mean, Tammy, but there's nothing like the good old fashioned Sacramento tomato juice! [Love] My mom used to give it to me when I was sick because orange juice was too acidic for me. Now even tomato juice is... [tears]
