Weezie . . . you're really going to like this one . . .
That was only 5 cm - that's about 1/5th of the length of your hand. But there's more to come, they say.
I have quite a few pictures from today - I loved going around the lot this morning and looking at my garden plots under snow. It's a kind of gardening in itself.
I'll try to get some more up tonight. That last is my favourite of the whole lot.

Maybe Weezie and me got the same storm? We're in Northern Indiana. Ours was all in one evening too. It's even deeper along the edges of the drive, where we used the snow blower. hmmm...just looked at your Profile Weezie, must not have been the same one, although you may have gotten even more snow from this one. It looked like it was headed for you (dumped on us Thursday). and Thanks Carly. We have Pines all around the "Yard" about an acre or so square. We just bought the house in May and I wasn't big on the Pines, but the snow has changed my mind! They are really pretty all covered in snow and offer great wind protection for the yard too. Mother Nature has given me a change of heart and the Pines are here to stay!

tcmers, I'm in what is known as the "SNOWBELTS" cause of the LAKE EFFECTS, when you guys have a storm, you get what is in the storm clouds.. "X" amount... now, have that same storm go over the either warmer or colder water and it puts that storm into freak mode.. adding way more than what the people on the other side of the lake get or the people on the other side of the us, way past the lakes' effects, say mid NY..
Plus I am in the second highest peak in Western New York, settled in between skiing resorts *and we had another one here, in my town, we used to live in the hill behind it, it was mis~managed and went defunk..*
And alot depends on which way the wind is blowing from, sometimes, we never get a lick of it, other towns North get it...or the city of Buffalo.. Remember the Blizzard of '77????
Any hey, I have relatives that are in Chicago and Indiana... *Calumet City and Gary* are you close to that area? Or no cigar?????

We get some Lake Effect snow here also, but I would imagine you get a lot more snow than we do. We're in Goshen. About a hundred miles East of Calumet.

Everything in Indiana is flat Weezie! LOL! If you get near the Kentucky border there are some big hills/small mountains but the Northern part is pretty flat over all. We seem to sit on the rolling plains. We're in the country and the roads are hilly but nothing like Mountains. The last several years haven't been very heavy winters here. I swear there was a lot more snow when I was a kid. Personally, I like the snow. I just don't see the purpose of cold if you aren't going to have snow.
