flowers on it.

It used to be chintzware before it was discovered by everyone. I once bought a plate at a garage sale for 50 cents.

Now I buy the old pictures of english cottages with gardens. The pictures are from the 1930-40`s I think.

That and garden books old and new. I have a few first editions.

And now don`t laugh, a few summers ago after 30 some years of gardening, I realized that I was a plant collector!!

I really like to antique and junk. Very often I find myself trying to figure out if something I am looking at could be planted.

Thats not funny it is addicting....J/K I'm calling it insane at the moment!

I am now a cactophile/succulent collector [Roll Eyes] and doing the same thing....obsessed with looking for something to plant in....Out driving on a trash day watch out..... [thinker] turn around...can I use that?... (is anybody watching [scaredy] , better go to the door and ask [Roll Eyes] [Big Grin] )....spray painting an old file cabinet now. he he he

geeesh....stick your hand out Weezie and if you leave it for very long I will plant something in it!!! [Big Grin]

I am a cat (wild and tame and actually anything inbetween....even some with attitudes)collector....real, plastic, metal, stuffed, wire, glass, ceramic, whatever you can think of!

This last Dec. went to Iowa and started collecting old pee pee pots....Now how insane is that! ha ha ha There in my laundry room up high....daughter didn't want them on the kitchen wall. ha ha ha

Oh catlover, those pots would make wonderful planters!

I have a pair of boots that my brother wore for a few years, then I wore for many yeras, then each of my 3 kids wore them. They are now planted with hens and chicks.

I did that with my last pair....got the idea here and planted away! Now if anybody comes to my house they better not take off your shoes to long! [Big Grin]

How did you make a bird house out of a boot? [dunno] If I used a pair of my son's work boots it would kill the birds.

LOL. No cruelty to animals allowed, catlover.

Cut a hole on the side of the heel, size and distance from the floor for the type bird you want.

Use an old licence plate for the roof. Attach roof with wire, just poke holes through the leather.

Here is a link to some of my cottage pictures. Some of them are so dark. I need to figure out a better way to scan them.

Ohhhh Rue those are great pictures! [thumb]

Is the outside of your house set up that way as well?
I just love to drive by a house like that and take a few minutes and observe! In Calif. you don't want to sit too long or a cop will be on ya!

Hi Rue,

Do you have a photo program on your computer? If so, scan the prints as jpeg files and sent them to your photo program. There you can adjust the brightness. Hope this helps, as those prints are lovely! If they are already jpeg's, just sent them to me at jc2weho@worldkey.net and I can adjust them for you and send them back.
