I've been shopping for a garden window for my kitchen & the ones at Home Depot were expensive & downright ugly. I just happened to stop by a fancy replacement door & window company today & they had a huge garden window that had been part of a display. I didn't stop to measure it, but it's at least 5 feet wide. It's the really nice kind with the casement windows on the side & screens.

I'm going to use it to grow herbs, but what else? I've only dreamed about having a mini-greenhouse like this. It will be on a south facing wall that will be sunny from about 10 AM to 3PM. Help.

Lucky you! [thumb]

I need some windows BAD!
All those plants I had outside all summer are in the house now, with no light! [tears]

Welcome to the forum!

Nice to meet you!

Many years ago my dad and I got stainless steel shelving from an old hotel that was being torn down. We got the parts for fluorescent lights there too, then we stripped and painted them. We added new light bulbs & starters and created a garden in the basement. When he died suddenly, my mom and had to sell the house. We got next to nothing for the restaurant fixtures. I'm sure there are lots of great things out there for gardeners who dream a little. We spent very little money--we didn't have any!
