hello,

my name is frank i'm studying ants
particularly the relation between ants and plants
i know that leaf cutter ants and other species is a problem for farmers and gardeners
fortunatly leaf cutter ants just live in the south of usa (texas,...)
i'm looking for queens of leaf cutter ants or other species to do my study.
Studying ant is very important to find how to kill it without to kill usefull insects
which are very important for the plants.
so if you live in a states where there are leaf cutter ants or if you have problem with ants
please contact me at : eurhopalothrix@hotmail.com

Welcome aboard The Garden Helper Anomma [wayey]

Don't know anything about the leafcutters but my problem is the Argentina "super" ants.
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20030423-9999_1mi23ants.html

My aunt was visiting from Iowa....and they parked their camper at my sisters...after about 2 weeks they went to get in and there was a row about a foot wide going in after some sugar coated dried fruit that the lid popped off when they were traveling. They killed them off using terro liquid bait...they thought....then after going to Arizona they had another outbreak of them....they must of been in the walls of the camper and came back out in swarms....nothing from the outside just from the inside of the walls. After a month they are almost gone...but what a pain in the you know what.

Any helpful hints how to destroy them around Fallbrook....bet many, many people in the San Diego County would love to get rid of these nasty ants.

Thanks, Catlover [wayey]
