Hi, I started growing orchid only Mar 04. I still couldnt rememeber any of the name but I love it the moment I bought one home.

Since I love it so much, I also wanted to grow one at my work desk but because I am working in a chemical environment, the flower died before it is bloom. The root also turned dry and brown.

I really hope it can adapt to the environment and grow well because it really brighter my days just by looking at it.

Any suggestion?

Hi, Lgls! Welcome to the forum!

I have a orchid I got in March also. It is doing very well, which surprises me since I have never grown one before and don't know much about them. Mine is growing in a pot full of bark chips, with a little perlite mixed with them. I water it whenever the bamboo stick I have in it gets dry.
Here's some info posted elsewhere on this website:

Hope this helps!

Nice to meet you!
