Hello...

I was quite excited when I stumbled upon this site today looking for on-line pictures of marigold seeds. I did not find the picture but think I found a greater treasure.

I live in Hastings, NE and have for the last year and a half since moving from California...I am a want to be avid gardener... In reality, I have a few tomato plants and a few containers on my porch with some flowers and herbs... I do not have a whole lot of time to garden since I am pretty busy raising my 5 kids and getting ready for number 6 to make her arrival at the beginning of November.

I do have lots of wonderful space to garden as we live on 5 acres, but just have yet to find to time... I am hoping to get some good idea from all of you and look very forward to meeting everyone.

Triss

Thanks for the welcomes... We (Dan and I) love having a large family and when we met knew we would have one... we are very much the Brady Bunch family with both of us having kids from previous marriages (his two not included in the count since they dont live with us right now) and then having the last 4 together... It has sure been a wonderful experience...

I am having a great time exploring the site and have found answers to a couple of questions I had about dealing with a dozen or so plum trees that we have on this property that produced very tiny but delicious plums... with the information I found here, I am hoping to prune them into shape and getting much bigger fruit next year...

My big goal is to plan my front flower garden area... it was cleared of ugly bushes this summer and is now a wide open pallet that I plan to fill with bulbs that will give me flowers all throughout the summer and some plants that will give me green all year long... There is a house in the town I live in that has had flowers in their yard since very early spring starting with daffodils and ending this fall with canna lilies... it is absolutely gorgeous and something to aspire to... Since I am starting with a couple of peonies, lily of the Nile and one amaryllis that I will be transplanting from other areas of the yard, I have a lot of work to do...

Well Jonny is ready for a nap, so my fun online gardening is over for the moment... Thanks again for the warm welcomes, I cannot wait to get to know you all...

Triss [wayey] , so glad you made it back so quick to talk to us.....and I'm also glad you found some info you needed on your plum trees.... [thumb]

Sounds like you'll have a big undertaking with the front of your house, but that's when it's the most fun....when you have a big empty space to work with....

Hope you keep coming back and chatting with us all regularly! Glad you joined the fun! [clappy]
