Thank you for replying to my post. I have had information (from another site heaven forbid) that this is probably some kind of Calathea. I can see that it fits in that category, but I don't believe its a Chinese Evergreen. I am a novice at this identification effort, and have looked at many plants in the Calathea (family?), and it just doesn't quite match anything I have looked at. I have a few other pics of it, and I will try to take some that give the true flavor of the thing, and as soon as I get a few minutes, I will put them on the site. Again thanks from someone who knows nothing:)

i had one like that once from a man who hanged himself(gave it to me before) so i called it my hangman s plant but i believe he told me it was in the diffenbechia familly.
