Author Garden: Can anyone ID this plant for me? Freddy Gardener Member # 6378 posted                       I have had this for years, and don't know what it is. I believe it flowered when I first got it--beautiful yellow flowers (not certain of that however). Any help in identifying it would be appreciated. I have had information (from another site heaven forbid) that this is probably some kind of Calathea. I can see that it fits in that category, but I don't believe its a Chinese Evergreen. I am a novice at this identification effort, and have looked at many plants in the Calathea (family?), and it just doesn't quite match anything I have looked at. I have a few other pics of it, and I will try to take some that give the true flavor of the thing, and as soon as I get a few minutes, I will put them on the site. It is categorically a Chinese evergreen (Aglaonema). It is most definitely not a Calathea or Maranta. Please identify that other site so we can encourage them to post accurate information.
