i am pretty sure that the plant i have is a succulenst it has leaves like one and roots exactly the same way. i dont have a camera so i will have to describe it instead. they have longish thin stems with thin straight leaves that coemin groups of two or three. the flowers are purple and the petls are very thin alost like thickish eelashes maybe. i found that the flowers close at night and open duringhte day. pleas ehelp me because i am thnk that i need to help them and i dont even know how to research them if i dont know there name

Hi Hinda,

Is it a native to your area? Or is it something you were given or bought? If it is a native plant that can narrow the search field somewhat. When you say that the petals are thin like eyelashes do you mean something like the petals of a dianthus, kind of a lacy look? or just that they are thin like a rose versus something like a tulip.

If it is the second I would suggest portulaca 'moss rose'.
