There's two weeds in this picture - so-called weeds, that is . . . I, of course, consider them to be 'plants' that are growing in a place I hadn't planned on.

I need to know what they are . . .

 -

Now that one right in front of the hydro pole - that is about 10 inches high, and I suspect it is just a tree of some kind trying to grow. Maybe not . . .

The other, that wispy green thing with the round (oval) leaves? Whaddya' think?

And I just noticed . . . there's three weeds there!

I never run outta' weeds - there's so many.

(Gee it's good to be back to getting identifications again.)

the one that's right up against the pole, but now I look at it again I think I am wrong. The first time I looked at it I thought the stems were red but they aren't. I just don't see very good.

The one next to the post looks like Salal (Gaultheria shallon) to me.

Bill, do you mean next to the thing that looks like a tree sapling, or the one that's about a hand length from the post?

The one that looks like a tree sapling? It's a tree sapling - I can tell that now 'cause when I tried to dig one up for a project I'd planned to do with it, the roots were impossible - definitely tree roots.

I'm just going to clip them - I don't have time to hawk them out of there properly.
