Hi everyone, I am a new member and hope I do this right. I received a peace lily from my dad's funeral in DEC. I would like to put it in a nicer pot. when and how do you repot a peace lily? Any advice would be appreciated

what i would do is find a pot, about an inch larger than the one it is in, with good drainage, then put about an inch of soil in it, put the plant in it, them back fill with soil. use a good brand, and you won't have to repot for a very long time.

no need to repot its entirely at your descrection... just make sure not to fill soil into the center "crowns" of the plant... just keep the soil level even to how it currently is...

If your peace lily doesn't need repotting and you are only doing it for aesthetic reasons, a suggestion is to double pot the plant in its existing pot into a decorative container. Different mediums such as Spanish moss can be used as top dressing if desired.
