Hi Asley,

Your picture looks like a bamboo to me, but I'm not sure which. (Actually, I'm not sure it's bamboo!)

Please compare with these Drawing of Bamboo on bookcover

Photo of Lemur on Bamboo

It looks like you have it inside, but if you plan to put it outside, be sure to learn which kind it is since some bamboo loves to spread.

It certainly is pretty.

I have it outside, I really don't think it's bamboo, A lady gave it to me and it is some kind of tree that blooms.... any other ideas??

it's not a bamboo, although the leaf structure is similar, the main stalk and the angles are not. i am trying to remember just what it is (i've seen it before) but my mind is blank right now.

by the way, i edited your post so the picture would show up here... hope you don't mind.

Ashley, where are you located? That might help narrow things down if we knew your growing region.

Yes, Growing zones help alot!!
Tells us to think about a hardy sub~zero plant,
or a tropical!!!

AND, I was wondering if you had a bigger picture of your plant...more of the stalk, height, sprawl of the leaves and stems/branches...
Would be AWESOME if you could..

Yes, that definately helps knowing your growing zone...
So we can start to think whether it's a hardy plant or tropical!!!

Also, would you happen to have a bigger picture of your plant?
Of branches, height, how it grows???
That would be an AWESOME help!!!
