Author Garden: Is it a tree or shrub???? spotalot Gardener Member # 3797 posted                       I am assuming it is technically a shrub since it has more than one trunk. Here is what I know... It is about 9-12 feet tall and rounded. It is deciduous with bright red leaves and berries in the fall (see pics). It has scaly "bark" on the branches. I forget if it flowers (spring was so long ago, you know), but it attracts a heck of a lot of bees! These pictures were taken today- I love the red of the leaves! Euonymus alatus! I looked up several pictures on the web and that is definitely it! I think one website actually called it a weed.... but it sure is pretty! Thank you, all!
