Looking for help...I have a beautiful plant grown from a cutting given to me from an old friend. I'm having a hard time identifying it. I have been told it was a tropical plant, but I live in the Maryland area. Any help would be appreciated.

do you have a picture or something that we could go on to help identify it?

I saw this flower for the first time last year in Roanoke VA while delivering pizza. Then a couple of weeks ago, I saw it again at the Norfolk botanical gardens and it was labeled. The photo I'm linking to shows a slightly different flower as it is a different cultivar and there are also other cultivars with different flower colors, but I believe your plant is a pomegranate
