A neighbor gave these to me years ago. I first planted them in a row in front of some "elephant ears" and found that was just stupid. They multiply like crazy & you just about can't kill them. I was told they were "Cannons". Anyone know anything about these?

I recently found several of them "sewn" together with a web. I opened the leaves & there were lots of eggs (looked like coffee grounds) and a couple of worms. I'm trying to find out about these worms but first have to know what the plant is [perplexed]

Those are Canna Lillies. The eggs you saw were left by a moth(I have a problem with them also) I use an all purpose insect spray for flowers and it works great [thumb] They are sooo pretty when they are in bloom.

Thanks! Yep, they're very pretty. About 3 years ago, I decided to line inside of my front fence with them. I started with a small bed & have added to it each year. Next year, I'm gonna finish the entire length of my fence & spread them out. I can't wait to see my entire front lined with the blooms. Mine are orange (wish they were red, LOL) But, I'm trying to do most of my landscaping with existing plants that multiply each year (the cheap way, LOL)

That was a great idea,as they multiply easily to create a living fence. I have red cannas, yellow and orange cannas and orange ones. I just got the red ones from my neighbor(we trade seeds and plants all the time [thumb] ) I cant wait to see them bloom.

I have so many elephant ears that I'm begging some of my neighbors & friends to take some, LOL. Maybe I can talk my neighbor into giving me some of his red ones [thinker] He already has orange & yellow/orange so he probably wouldn't want to trade, but he has nearly as many as I do, he just may give me a couple [dunno]
