Hi all, I'm new to this site and to plants in general. I bought this plant at Lowes last summer as a hanging basket. I repotted it in a little bit bigger of a pot and it seemed to be doing fine and growing. It now looks very leggy and sparse. If I knew what it was, then I could maybe figure out how to take care of it better. I think it could be some type of hoya, though I never seen any flowers on it. From what I've read, hoyas bloom frequently. If anyone can help me put a name to my mystery plant i'd really appreciate it. If not, maybe just some helpful hints on how to keep it happy. I have given a link to my photos, but don't really know if I did it right.
Thanks in advance, Lori [URL=http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/blumlori1979/album.]

Lori, indeed your plant is Hoya carnosa 'Veriegata'. The only thing I can think of relating to blooms is that this plant prefers to be root bound to flower so I think just a little time and care and you should be fine. The leggy part is almost surly due to lack of light, turn your plant often. Hope this is of some help, good luck.

Thanks for welcoming me here. I've read through a lot of the posts and have already learned so much. The trick to the torenia was that I had just bought it a few days before I took the picture. I'm sure if I give it a bit of time, mine will look much worse than it does now. I'm not the best at keeping flowering plants in bloom, but I can't help buying them.
I hope that time will help the hoya bloom. When I repotted it, I used a container 3 or 4 inches larger than the previous one. Should I take it out and repot it in its original size to help promote flowers?

Hi Lori_in_fl, I've heard those torenia's are quite picky! Let me know what you do for them if they stay looking good! I would love to know! I think they are a very nice looking plant/flower.
