[Big Grin] [Big Grin] ok, so, i look at this topic, thinking "i'm going to have to move that to fruits and veggies" then i get here and see a fern! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

i've never seen one of those blooming before! you really should note all the environmental things that are there when it sets the blooms, and when it does bloom so the rest of us can learn [thumb]

i'm impressed [kissies] thank you for sharing!

Sibyl,

I like this plant [flower] It's delicate looking and so pretty the way it hangs. The flowers smell nice too!
After the flowers have faded, you will see green berries forming which will eventually turn red. When fully red, you can pop the single black seed out and plant just under the soil (water let dry) In no time, you will have another new baby Asparagus Fern plant. Not a true fern, it's acually (related to the lily family)

they are cool in the fall and winter, didnt think to check if we had any cool nights in the summer,or if the a/c was on, im gonna keep taps on it from now on,
there just a little cool, kinda like a dieing frig cool, sometimes in the summer my husband has the a/c up so high its like walking in to a frezer! im wondering if the cold stimulates the flowering?
i think a good deviding dose them good too. a lady at work has one she never devided and its a big ball of dead roots with a few branches, mine was starting to look like that so i choped it up, and repoted it now i have two and they look much better and fuller.

Sibyl,

That's great that your plant flowers so often, especally now! [thumb] Mine only flowered once a year in the spring, that was it.
They do like to drink a lot of water don't they?
Maybe that's the secret, your giving yours plenty of water (more than I did) and it's rewarding you with so many different flowering times!

they flower at least twice a year, i have no idea what im doing to make em flower. i have noticed their roots are kina crowded, so i either pour a little water in them let it soak down and repeat , if not the water just runs down the sides and out the drain holes, or i soak em in a bucket for awile then let em drain, i only water on sundays, thats about all i know about my house plants is to water on sundays, and filterd light.
its got some new shoots growing on it now. their getting pretty long!
how often do you water yours?

Usually it would need a good long drink once a week [flower] If it was really hot & dry, then sometimes it would be watered twice a week.
I didn't worry much about over-watering, the roots grew so darn fast that before you knew it, it needed a bigger pot.
