I ordered the Hope coneflower, 3 of them actually. One for my best friend, one for her mom who is a survivor of breast cancer, and of course one for my coneflower collection. Her mom loves to garden and has given me lots of plants from her garden. My friend, however, has a garden, but doesn't garden with flowers. Can coneflowers be in pots - outside of course - meanting, do they have to be in the ground or can they be in a big pretty pot?

Patty, I love Echinacea and I have 'Hope' too! It's has such a beautiful soft, pink color. I'm sure you can grow them in a pot; but, last year, mine got about 2-1/2' tall and I don't know how good it would look in a pot. Even if she doesn't garden, doesn't she have a spot where she could plant it.

Hey, Patty, I think that's an excellent idea. I just don't think it would do as well in a pot as it would in the ground.
