Air layering is an effective method for propagating Hibiscus and Weigela, but softwood cuttings work quicker for Lavender.

Thankyou bill. I have two weigela cuttings that haven't died yet and if they survive I would love to be able to make more. They are such a great looking plant. I have the varigata.

Tammy, I was also able to just put hibiscus in water and it is putting out roots for me. Jimmy said he has trouble with it though.
I have not tried air layering with mine yet.

Maybe so, but I am sure Jimmy is doing his inside like I am. I will be transplating mine this week to soil and will take pics when I do.
