I hope I am copying and pasting the correct thing here for you to open and see the picture I was asking about. I really don't know what I am doing.
This looks like an awful lot to me!! After I click to add this post I don't know what you'll get of this.

Wow!! It put the picture there (not very big though) instead of the whole long string of site address (Is that what's called it's URL ? Sorry I'm so incompetent at this, but I'm learning.

I don't know what that is, the common name used sure seems to fit it When I click on your "small picture" I get a big picture of it in your Webshots. Plants: 215 | From: Upstate NY | Registered: Jul 2005

Look at the pics they showed me of datura pods under 'A Mystery Name' and see what you think. I think it kind of looks like that, don't you?

Just a thought since I notice that the photo was taken in Orinda, California, There is a member of the cucurbit family, that is native to California Marah fabaceus "California Manroot" that could be a possibility??
It just doesn't seem to have the pronounced "collar" that I'm accustomed to seeing on most Datura pods.

I also noticed that it did not have that pronounced collar.
Your picture of the Manroot looks very much like it. Now that I have a name to type in I am going to check it out on the Web. Thanks

Not sure; I think the picture I have shows the pod a little more oval and pointed, but that is before or after the flower. What do you think?
