i took a walk through the gardens at Armstrong Atlantic State University, in Savannah, and found these flowers that i could not identify. and while almost all their plants are identified, these were not!

i thought so, but i had never seen one bloom! the blooms were so pretty, but hidden under the leaves.

i debated between this variety and the tri-color in the spring...they're both so nice...if i'd known this one would put out such a cute flower, i wouldn't have opted for the tri-color.
i will look for this one again, next year.
