A picture of the plant itself, still growing in the flowerbed, would sure help for a positive ID. [Big Grin] After the flowers and foliage are wilted that badly, it's difficult to tell for sure what you have there.

Try a Google search for Malva sylvestris mauritanicus 'Windsor Castle', a Wood Mallow.

I'm still waiting for the digital camera that I was promised for my birthday...the flower was scanned so I guess that's why it's squished, but you guys are great, thanks for id-ing it so quick!

Kennyso, did you put your cuttings in water to root? That will help plump up some of the foliage. I think you can take a scan without closing the lid of the subject. Just lay a piece of white typing or copy paper on top of the plant piece, then scan. That way, nothing gets squished. I hope you get your wish for your birthday. [Wink]

I remember doing something similar when I scanned my origami models to the society, instead, I used a small cardboard box...I should've put the cutting in water, I picked it this morning on my way back from doing tai chi from the park and I drank all my water, I figured because it had seed pods developing and flowers that it couldn't root and didn't bother...I'll tyr rooting them tomorrow! I will definately remember this next time (maybe I might even get small plant from the cuttings!), thanks again!
