I'm starting to bring plants into our living room that require more light than they can get with my limited windows (only 1, east facing). Are there plant lights that can help the plants without making my living room look like a greenhouse?

Any ideas will be appreciated.

you can get regular incandescent-style grow lights that can be used in regular lamps. or you can get shorter fluorescent bulbs/fixtures that would be a little less obtrusive.

you could bypass all that by getting plants with lower light requirements for the living room.
