Anybody know what this is?
 -
This bush is about 4' tall & 2½' across. (Has never been trimmed in the 2 years I've been here, but should be cut back & shaped, I think) The blossoms are fragile & don't last long after being picked.

You are quick, Weezy!! Sure does look like the Shrubby Cinquefoil/Potentilla fruticosa on your link! (Now I wish I could just pronounce it... Guess I'll keep calling it "That bush with the yellow flowers"!)

 - Thanx bunches!

Great Idea! - Why don't YOU make the CD yourself & get really rich?! (Also include brain exercises for memory enhancement!)

Is that what "Shrubby Cinquefoil/Potentilla fruticosa" is... Latin? Hmmm... still "GREEK" to me!! [nutz] hee hee [Wink]

I can't pronounce 'em...
That's why I'm lookin' for it..

I have about 3 plants that I can pronounce,
and that's about it..

And the brain enhancement is sorta why I
got into gardening..
Wanted to keep the ole brain movin' while I
was home with my kids..

Yes, it's still GREEK to me too!!! [Wink] [Wink] [Wink]

Hey Weezie! I just got a PM from papito with a link to "Fine Gardening's Guide to Pronouncing Botanical Latin"! Not all plant sites indicate how to pronounce the names, but this 1 TELLS you, when you click on the links! [thumb] (The sound loads onto the Windows Media Player!) [clappy]

Pretty cool, huh? Thanx, papito!

Pronunciations - whew! I'm bad on them - I found out today that I've been mispronouncing 'nasturtiums'.

Someone said 'nasturtyums' and I said 'ohhhhhh!' She must have thought I was a nut saying 'nast-urt-ee-ums'.
