this dainty little flower also came up all by itself mysteriously. This is the second summer we've enjoyed it. We know that it comes from a seed. I guess the birds planted it last year, but we scattered seed in the fall so we could enjoy them again. any info will be appreciated! photobucket * * * * PamelaO

I think you've got the coreopsis right, but the mouse ear tickseed part doesn't fit. The leaves are more like marigolds not lobes. Thanks for your input! I think I'll keep them. They are very happy little flowers and really brighten up the garden. * * * * PamelaO

Klondike Cosmos, Sulphur Cosmos, Orange Cosmos (Cosmos sulphureus) I think that's it!!! There's a good picture of it at davesgarden.com I'm glad it's a "real" flower and not just a weed so my mom won't make me pull it! Thanks! You all are great! * * * * PamelaO

You know it was just a fluke that I reconized it, cause I just grew them for the first time this year... Loz our hostess had sent me some pink ones, and when I happened to come acrossed the orange one's I thought it would look good together, so I picked it up, and those flowers match mine to a "T".... Things work out funny that way, huh!!!???!!!! * * * * Weezie Don't forget to be kind to strangers.
