Donna,

You had mentioned that you think this plant is a Dieffenbachia. Are you totally sure about that? Reason I am asking is because I have a plant this I believe is a Dieffenbachia, and it looks or looked nothing like this plant here.

Here are the two photos:

Plant #1 - Which I believe is a Dieffenbachia.
Plant #2 - Which you suggested is a Dieffenbachia.

Please let me know what you think. Also, I am starting to thing that I should just keep one thread because right now I have three threads with the same subject and I am thinking that it looks bad. Is there anyway that all three of these threads can be merged into one so that I can just keep one active thread. I will be adding to it a lot, because I have a lot of plants that I need to identify.

Ah man... that sucks... so that is why Donna registered. Ok... well I will need to correct that.

Also... it would seem that here is a new member attempting to solicite people to his message board from this one.... just wanted to nip that now... definately not the case... been using forums as well as hosting them for some time.

My forum is honestly just my private space where I upload photos of my plants. It helps me be able to keep track of their growth and the maintenance that I do with them.

Thanks for pointing this out... I have to figure out a way that will allow guest uses to view the photos.

Try PHOTOBUCKET
it's free, and reallllllllllllly user friendly
and we don't have to sign up to see them from
here....

Or for the other one, sometimes there's a place
to click and it says to make your photo's for
public viewing... *I think I even had to do that
for photobucket too** [Wink]

Thank you for the tip. Is photo bucket free? Do they delete your photos if you are not active for x amount of time? I will head over there this evening when I get home from work and check it out. Also, can you make comments on each photo? Bascially that is why I installed the SMF board on my host... so I could make comments and note to help my memory when it came to each plant.

Uhhhhhhh, dunno?????
About the active part...
I just got mine a wee~bit ago...

Maybe if Cindy/Afgreyparrot swings thru
she might know, she's the one who told me
about the place...

Yes it is FREE!!!
I also believe you can get an upgraded thing
for a small $$.......but I have the Freebie one.

Here's a link to mine... Weezie's Photobucket Page

I know it gives you 3 options to name them,
I don't cause I'm slower than slow..
and it gives you the option to have the numbers
shown/displayed or not, I chose not..
but maybe it'll help you decide.

gconn77 ~ Howdy! [wayey] Yep! That is why I joined. I am a nosey rosy and wanted to see your pictures! [Embarrassed]

To the best of my knowledge it is a dieffanbachia.

Ok I am not the best at trying to explain things but there are many types of dieffs. Not just 1 leaf variation and hybridizers seem to be coming out with a new 1 every other month. There are something like 30 species of dieffenbachias.

Check out these links and you will see what I mean.
Dieffenbachia Tropical Marianne

4 more hybrids

Now this link will show how different they can really be.
dieffenbachia seguine

Hope all this helps.
