I have a spider plant whose tips are all brown, she does have some healthy leaves, so I think she's ok? How do I care for her now? Should I cut her brown tips??

the brown tips won't hurt, they are from some kind of stress, either too much/not enough water or sunburn.
they like to get a little dry between waterings, and they like bright light, but not full sun.

Spider plants will also form brown tips form chemicals in tap water as well. Floride I think but not sure on exactly which one it is that causes it.

So how do I get around that one? I am pretty sure we have flouride in our water here.

Let your tap water sit in an open container for 24 hours and the chlorine, flouride and other chemicals will evaporate. That will also bring the water up to room temperature, which is less shocking to your plants.

Thanks for that! Will start doing that for all my houseplants now. A good use for my empty milk jugs!
