Help! Am searching for source for the above species both originating in mexico yet found throughout florida. Euph.Pulch.(aka WILD poinsettia) and Malv.Pend.(aka sleeping hibiscus or Turks cap) also. The latter is avail in both red and pink. NE1 who could direct me towards a source either seed or cuttings would be gr8 appreciated. I'm sure someone in the south has either or both growing on their native homestead as they proliferate yet are not avail. in nurseries. Thanx to all who respond.

jerry...I did a google search on both species...the first listing for each was for a site called Floridata...I suspect you could contact the host for more info. The Euph. search revealed that this is the common poinsettia...is this botanical name correct, or were you looking for varieties that aren't specifically cultivated?

actually it is not the common variety of poinsettia which does not fair well on transplant. It is a native WILD which often grows to 10-15' but is of the same general family. It is not the Wild variety that plagues peanut growers in georgia either. I suspect that I will have to propagate from cuttings when located.
