My Banana tree has bloomed for the first time, is producing little bananas, and looking good, BUT I found two leaf-eating worms, and are wondering how best to handle them. They are green with orange spots, and "horns" at each end.

Don't worry about them. They're probably a butterfly and do no real damage. Or just remove them by hand if you really want them gone. After your banana fruit are picked, that particular trunk will die off anyway. Important now is to ensure the developing fruit have plenty of water and food to develop. If the fruit has set, it's best to remove the flower pod too.

Thanks so much for your response! I guess I became concerned when I saw just how voracious their appetites are, and that they had eaten an entire leaf since the previous day. What first caught my eye was the DROPPINGS! They're the size of large peppercorns, and many, many. Thanks again.
