We were talking about the cactus at the Show and I said I have one simular But after coming home and looking at it futher I actually have the stapelia hirsauta... carrion Flower
It does get crimson/dark ruby velvet flowers heres a picture of what I have: it looks like it screaming for the out doors and it is!!!LOL and it does need to go out but not yet> a couple of more weeks and I'll take her out probably after Easter as I do every year untill late Fall. It's still blooms indoors . There are tiny babies developing now  -

Didn't it ever. That is beautiful. I put all mine out on the porch this morning then seems like all the kids came by and then was forced to hold newest GreatGrand son.
