Member # 6889 posted                       Uhhh... I've never met a caterpillar that knew how to swim! Sorta looks like a cross betwen a leopard slug & an adder... (what the devil is going on in your pond?!!!) I'm pretty sure it's dead....I poked it with the net and it didn't move.....I left it there so Mark could take it out because it grosses me out. I should've said, it's about 3-4 inches long. Seeded: 70.109.74.156 loz guest posted                 Okay, Mark took it out of the pond and said it was a snail out of its shell...I have a ton of those mystery snails in there....seems like a good answer to me....He threatened to throw it at me when he scooped it out and I would've beat him if he did---he thinks he's funny! There is evidence of it's presence (on the kitchensink....), but it's a clever thing! I will get him/her eventually though!
