Uhhh... I've never met a caterpillar that knew how to swim! [nutz] Sorta looks like a cross betwen a leopard slug & an adder... (what the devil is going on in your pond?!!!) [shocked]

Probably some kind of loach, [dunno] but you're right... that thing is UGLY!

[Big Grin] [Big Grin] I was wondering what was going on in my pond too! [scaredy]

I'm pretty sure it's dead....I poked it with the net and it didn't move.....I left it there so Mark could take it out because it grosses me out.

I should've said, it's about 3-4 inches long.

Sheeze! If it's dead, you'd think it would have the decency to close it's eyes! - CREEPY! (Lots smaller than I thought! It's more like 7", here on my screen!) [Big Grin]

I see you have blue skies & pretty cloud puffs! [thumb] Good day to hang out & take pictures of ugly dead things in the pond!

Okay, Mark took it out of the pond and said it was a snail out of its shell...I have a ton of those mystery snails in there....seems like a good answer to me....He threatened to throw it at me when he scooped it out and I would've beat him if he did---he thinks he's funny! [Razz]

It's just a snail Loz, we in Holland call it a naked snail (well to say it in Dutch a naaktslak... [Big Grin] [Big Grin] )

I have one hiding in my kitchen [Frown] ......... There is evidence of it's presence (on the kitchensink....), but it's a clever thing! I will get him/her eventually though!

paulien, put out a dish (something that has very low sides and will be easy to climb into) with some beer in it...those things like the smell and will climb in and then die.

they look pretty funky when they shrivel up tho...if you can deal with it then that's the way to catch the bugger! [Smile]
