I have a pile about 3 feet high and that wide of mostly "green" compost items. I am getting ready for winter and do not turn it alot. I was thinking of doing some layering to get more brown into it. I was thinking of layering the green stuff then shredded newspaper, then green, then paper etc. What is the best way to get it layered - it at least get some brown into it?
