i am interested in growing a bay laurel tree. i heard they do well in pots and was wondering where i could find one.

I think I got mine at a garden show, but I've seen them with the herbs at one of the local garden centers too. You can find it online also, but I think it would be cheaper if you could get it locally. Edible Landscaping has it for $15.
