My kaffir lime bloomed a little last fall and winter after I brought it in. None of the fruits set though. Hopefully I'll have better luck this year.

I think you need a male and female tree to get fruit, I heard lemons take 18 months to ripen...I would be happy with just a a flower!

My Meyer blooms and fruits year round. Once in awhile she takes a break from blooming, but not for long and she's at it again. I'm in California though, and that might make a difference. My Eureka lemon takes FOREVER to bloom, fruit and ripen.

Does she get lots and lots of sun through a window? Citrus food? BTW, even baby Meyers still in their cans at the nursery, bloom and fruit. It is a simply SUPERB lemon tree in my opinion. Not a true lemon, but who cares about genetics when I am flooded with fragrance, flowers and fruit all the time?

How in the world did you get such a tiny one? I've never heard of that. They're always in the large pots at the nurseries. I never look, but they must be 5 gallon pots. Was it a bonsai? How can so tiny a tree support a lemon? Even one? This has me curious. Was it sold as a houseplant? Papito, HELPPPPPPP !!!!

If I were you, I'd enjoy the flower awhile after it opens, but if you want a real tree you should remove all buds and let the tree grow big. I'd love a picture !

What a cutie ! It really is ! I've never seen one so tiny and with a bud ! I'd definitely get it into a pot of at least 10 inches ASAP. Clay is best as it breathes.

Thanks Deborah! I will start looking for one ASAP as in tomarrow!! Do you know can I use worm "Dirt" to plant it in? I am sure that is one of the problems with the lime as well!!

The best thing to plant it in is cactus mix as it drains quickly-lemons don't like wet feet. I'd get a 1 cubic foot bag of cactus mix soil. No food, just a good watering after you transplant, and no sun for 24 hours, just nice light, indirect. After that it should, with good sun and moderate temps, be pretty happy. I don't know anything about worm food, but I trust citrus food.
