Does anybody know if it's possible to successfully grow watermelons in a container. My kids spit their seeds in an empty pot we had and we have a pretty nice plant growing now with blossoms and all, but wondered whether it was realistic to hope for fruit from it. Any thoughts?

I don't see why not, if the pot is large enough. And if you got fruit, you could prop the melons on a nearby table.... What fun - and I hope it works for ya !

yes you can, just make sure that once the flowers have pollinated and the fruit is growing larger then a golfball, to have sunshine one them!! They LOVE the sun and will grow fast and big in the suns ray!! Also the watermelon plants take a good DEEP watering each day, I keep my soil moist in the heat we have(high 90's to over 100), dont SOAK it all at once, a slow drizzle for about 5 minutes twice a day should do the job. Good luck!!
