Can anyone tell me if my bush beans are too big? I only have time to pick the pods every other day, some of them get pretty long and fat...what is the optimum time to harvest these.

A picture would help, or even a good description.

If they're too big, they'll be a bit tough and stringy. Try some at different sizes and see what size is best. Then just pick them as they get to that size.

Longy is right, if they get too big they are tough. I have always perfered them on the younger side.

You can really pick as you like then cook them accordingly.
