I'm having trouble with eggplant growth. The leaves are getting covered with white spots, the plants are getting dark. Two of the plants are doing fine. The other two are experiencing this poor condition. Should I remove the plants from the garden? Is this a fungusss? Am I not feeding the plants with the correct nutrients? I've never had problmes with eggplant when grown in a container.
I water with a sprinkler each evening, and give the garden Miracle grow with the bottle type & hose once a week. This is a new garden, but we added peat moss, dehydrated cow manure (4 weeks before plants ever went in-then we rototilled the area).
Plants were put in over a period of 4 weeks, starting the 1st week in May.

I'm guessing some sort of fungus. Watering in the evening with a sprinkler isn't a good idea. The air temperature is cooling and the water remains on the leaves for much longer than if applied in the morning. This provides ideal growing conditions for fungi.
