That would explain all opf the bugs on my wall. Still have yet to get a picture. It has been pouring today. Will still try just to verify that it is a Box Elder Bug. Now I have to figure out what box elders are and see where the bugs are coming from.

Hmmm, the only tree I have in my yard is a birch. No obvious maples but then most of the trees are sticks right now.

Boxelder bugs also love golden rain trees, and chinaberry, aand probably others. They do no harm, but are very annoying to some people. I know of know "good" they do, but I'd just ignore them.

Well here is the bug. It is a little blurry but it is raining outside so I was not going to keep trying to get a good shot of them.

I was thinking it was a bit different as well. I am still going to work on a better pic when I am not dodging rain and thorns at the same time.

Hmmm well hard to tell from the photo. It does look like a box elder adult but i cant see the red line that usually outlines the wings.
What size it is? and you can have them around without a box elder tree.
Any chance of getting a non blurry photo?
what part or Washington are you in? eastern or western? trying to get idea of you climate.

I am in South Western Washington. A bit south of Centralia. It is about a half inch long. And I do not recall if it has red on the wings to outline them. I will try and get a better pic but it was raining too hard today and I forgot to run out there when the sun came out.
Today they were hangin out under my front window just under the wood that outlines the window. The other day I saw them near the holes that lead to under the house. So I will be looking for them the next time the sun comes out. I guess I will have to take one off the house and put it on white paper to take a pic. ewwwww
