Good morning from Way too warm Montana! I had a friend recently pass away. Before she passed she gave me all her plants. The problem is she was from New Orleans, and so are all her plants. I need help caring for them to insure they survive. I have many, many questions, but right now the most urgent question regards the plant she called a false bird of paradise. It is an old, big beautiful plant, but the leaves are dropping off and it looks like it has a fungus or mold on them. How do I care for this plant? Thank you for any suggestions you may have!

Hi there Rug lady. I am sure one of our hostesses will move this question down to houseplants so that more people will see it and while I do not have an answer to your question, I did want to welcome you to the forum!

Any chance you could post a pic? Without a botanical name, many of us won't know exactly what plant you're dealing with.
