I live in NY and 3 days ago it dropped 20 degrees in one day, from mid 60's to 40 - 50's. Today I noticed that the leaves on my weeping japanese maple turned brown and are falling off. I'm pretty sure the tree was fine before the drastic temperature change. I've had this tree for one year and last winter, I don't recall leaves falling off. Please help me save this tree!

Japanese maples are deciduous...they lose their leaves in winter, so you should be OK.
