the microwave gives off heat alot (like when nukeing tatters)I use to keep my bread on top of mine....but the bottom would get hard.if you want to keep it in same place....maybe use a potholder underneath?or one of them hotplates ya set stuff on.

I grow mine in ground in the summers and pot up for winter when drops below 50s at night.I tried one in total shade this year and its not done much, but sulk at me.its red when its happy with me.My pink one has bloomed non stop.
I'm nosy....what color is yours??I'm stopping in lowes this weekend and if their left will buy the 4 they had in clearance.were 30 cents each.the roots are still white, they just baked them in too much light.I'm told their hard to get top bloom, but mine blooms good(just not the red this time)

Hi njoyit,

thank you very much for answering me,so it s what i tought, cuz of the microwave;so i ll do what you told me and put some hotplate under, didn t even think of that but it s a very good idea.don t want to move it cuz the cat gets everywhere but there so she can t eat it.

hope you find the color you re looking for,if not mine is red so if you tell me where or what to send you i ll be happy to send you some seeds or something so you can grow a red one.

thanks and have a good week-end!!

the red is pretty. When I bought my red it was in bloom.
your kitty just wants to pee on your plant and ruffle the roots..lol.I stick golf tees in some spots of my bed where my kitty thinks its his toilet. This fall will do a fence in the one bed and plant through it.its my shade bed.he thinks its HOME [tongue]
