Hi all,
I am very new to the whole thing of gardening except for growing several annual flowers. This year I will try to grow some of them from seed - here is the question.10 days ago I've planted several pansy seeds (Burpee catalog, recommended start 12 weeks before the last frost - I am in MN,keep in dark initially),now I see several pale and leggy, about 2 inch long new growth on some of the pellets. Is not it too early? what am I doing wrong?should I still keep them covered?Any advice is appreciated.Thank you.

Anchik,
What kind of lighting are you using???

The lack of proper lighting can cause plants/seedling's to become white or pale
and very leggy...

Sometimes too, too much nitrogen *high first number on a fertilizer* can cause too much
green growth..

I'd have to say the lighting first though..

The seeds like to be in the dark, or under some dirt to be germinated....
