I previously wrote about transplanting some existing perennial sweet peas that I have. After thinking about it tho, I think it would be easier to do it from seed. Can I use the peas the plants produce for this purpose? If so, how do I go about doing it? Do I have to let them dry or pick them at a certain time? How about planting-should I plant now, in the fall or in the spring? Thanks!

well for the seeds...they grow in little pods that look like pea pods only maybe a little smaller. you'll want to harvest the seeds when they are brownish black looking. this usually happens maybe at the end of the summer or early fall around here but I don't know about where you live. you have to make sure they are dry. hmmm I guess it wouldn't hurt for you to plant them in the fall but I'd do it in the early spring or maybe wintersow them. sorry if I'm not very informative lol

Thanks MissJamie! That sounds simple enough. They are such vigorous growers, and they keep reseeding so much, just not where I want them. Hmmmm....if this goes well, I could have sweet peas everywhere-I think they're gorgeous!!! Thanks again!
