My newly transplanted avocado tree leaves are turning brown and getting dry at the tips. It is 6' from a second avocado that is doing well. What could be the problem?

Hi javy, I'm going to guess that its probably just a little bit of shock from being transplanted. Keep up on its water, don't let it sit in water though, and it should bounce back. Good luck and let us know how its doing.

How is the drainage there Javy? Avocado hate wet feet and will respond exactly as you describe. The leaves will get a stressed / wilted look and the leaf tips will brown off as if burnt. Is it possible the other one has better drainage? Are they the same variety of avo's by the way?
