The front of my house receives partial shade. I am in zone 4, I have burning bushes, spireas, a dogwood, astilbes, bleeding hearts, liatris, hostas and dianthus. I am trying to keep in the pink color range. Any idea on a plant that would be good as a filler. No taller than a ft high would be ideal and quite thick. Thanks.

How about periwinkle? I know it is more lavender than pink, but it only gets about 4 in. tall and spreads well.

I've been looking around. Do any of these seem appropriate?

Daphne cneorum 'Ruby Glow'
maculatum 'Anne Greenway'
maculatum 'Beacon Silver'
maculatum 'Orchid Frost'
maculatum 'Pink Pewter'
Phlox stolonifera 'Home Fries' (Phlox)
Sedum hydrangeoides 'Roseum' (Stonecrop)
spicata 'Baby Doll'
Gypsophila repens 'Rosea' (Baby's Breath)
Vaccinium macrocarpon (Blueberry)

good luck with all your gardening projects.

Note:
quote:
maculatum 'Anne Greenway'
maculatum 'Beacon Silver'

maculatum 'Pink Pewter'

should all read Lamium maculatum, and

quote:
spicata 'Baby Doll'

should read Veronica spicata 'Baby Doll'

I love daphnes. They have the most incredible fragrance. I have Daphne 'Lawrence Crocker' which has rose-pink flowers that bloom throughout the summer off and on.

Thankyou Terry,

I'm so knew I can't even read the catalog right. [Embarrassed] But I'll learn with your help.
