My elderly friend Murch (yes, that's his real name!) has a Bartlet Pear tree that stopped bearing fruit four years ago. Each season it blooms but does not fruit.
Anyone have any suggestions for why this might be happening? Keep in mind we live on the coast of Maine.
Also, he said his other pear tree died at about the same time this one stopped fruiting. Could there be a connection?

Bartlett pear trees are unique since they are self pollinating [sets fruits with their own pollens], however, they should be cross pollinated to produce heavy and regular crops.
Suggest planting another Bartlett pear tree or other varieties of Pear except Seckel and Magness.
