I was given a plant. All I was told about the plant is that it is called Angel Wings. I know it likes light and water. But what I am not sure about is if it will live in the cold weather. I have been looking a many sites and saw that it's name might be Angelwing Bagonia. Can someone please help me? I live in North Carolina. Thank you for your advice.

girlie, bring your angel wing in during the winter (starting now) and as it starts to die back from the light change, cut down on the water (but don't let it get rock dry). only water it when you stick your finger in the pot and it is dry up past your first knuckle, then, just a little water. as soon as the last frost is past, put it back outside, and water it well. then resume taking care of it like a normal plant, it will do fine.

Thank you! That does help. I am going to bring it in today. Do you think that it will be okay in the Garage for 7 days so that I can make sure that there are no bugs on it before bringing it in. I am going to spray it with 7. If you have any more advice on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much Jiffymouse!

Neem will work as a spray also& is organic.

here is link to my begonia albulm
http://community.webshots.com/album/75645150Ahsxzh

It shows a portion of my angelwings life last year.mine is a cane type, then is like the dragonwing type.the leaves of dragonwing are shaped the same but smaller& the flower clusters do not get as big.

I have my angelwing in a 20 inch pot& another in a 24 in pot.both are 7 ft tall steaked& tied.one gets less lighting than the other.when the times change& the days lengthen/shorten my blooms are lighter with the less lighting then bout may are back to that deep coral, the one that gets more sun its blooms are almost red.I cold GH mine in the winter.its a porch screened& plasticted.Last yr I had the angels under the porch light and nights with freezeing temps I placed sheets over them and clipped sheet to light fixture with clothes pins& would leave the light on& the other was covered with fleece blanket..clothespinned to hanging plant pole.I fertilied once a month durring the winter.
